Eligibility window

Non-refundable cases

  • Downloaded games and DLC (North America)
  • Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions (no prorated refund)
  • Pre-ordered content once payment is taken / downloaded
  • In-game currency

Worth knowing

  • Pre-orders can be cancelled before payment is taken (payment is taken ~7 days before release).
  • Defective games may be refunded case-by-case in North America, but this is rare and not guaranteed.
  • Australian Consumer Law can override the “all sales final” stance for faulty or misdescribed content.

How to request a refund

  1. North America: contact Nintendo Support for defective-content exceptions only
  2. EU/UK: use the online “Cancel contract” function in your Nintendo Account, or email support within 14 days
