Eligibility window

Playtime ruleNo fixed playtime cap, but the clock starts at first launch. A new EA game bought within 30 days of release with technical issues: refund within 72 hours of first launch.

Non-refundable cases

  • DLC and in-game currency bought separately
  • Game editions that bundle virtual currency / content packs
  • The same game more than twice (max 2 refunds per title)
  • Purchases via console stores, Steam, Epic, mobile app stores, or retailers (go to that seller)

Worth knowing

  • Eligible full EA games (PC/Mac) and participating third-party titles only.
  • If you launched the game, the 24-hour timer applies; if you never launched it, the 14-day timer applies.

How to request a refund

  1. Open the EA Refund Tool and sign in to your EA Account
  2. Find and select the game, then pick a refund reason
  3. Confirm the payment method and submit
  4. You’ll get a confirmation email; EA typically replies within 48 hours
