GTA Online Businesses — What to Buy First (ROI Ranking)
The best GTA Online businesses to buy, in the order that actually makes you money.
Last updated 2026-09-09 · evergreen reference
GTA Online's businesses are the backbone of long-term income, but buying them in the wrong order wastes millions. This ranking is built for solo and small-crew players and reflects 2026 economy reality: a few businesses massively outperform the rest.
Recommended buy order
Spend once, earn forever.
1. Kosatka submarine (~$2.2M)
Unlocks the Cayo Perico Heist — still the best solo earner in the game. This is your first priority; it pays itself back in two or three runs.
2. Acid Lab (free via First Dose)
The First Dose missions give you the Brickade 6x6 and the lab for free. It always guarantees a single delivery vehicle and sells for ~$340k-$500k. The best no-cost business in the game.
3. Bunker (~$1.16M+)
Manufactures ammo and weapons you sell in one vehicle. Pair it with the Nightclub later for passive income.
4. Nightclub (~$1.08M+)
Only worth it once you own a Bunker, MC business or CEO warehouse — it turns those into one passive payout. The key late-game earner.
5. Agency (~$2M+)
Unlocks the Dr. Dre Contract ($1M) and passive Security Contracts. Strong value once you have seed capital.
Lower-priority businesses
Buy later or skip.
Hangar (air freight)
Poor ROI — sourcing crates is slow and pays little. Skip unless you love flying.
MC businesses (without Nightclub)
Coke/meth are good but need the Nightclub link and solo delivery is painful. Get them after the Nightclub.
Cargo warehouses (CEO)
Decent but grindy; vehicle cargo is better than special cargo for solo players.
