Fortnite’s Zero Build mode opened it to players who dislike building. Paired with the right settings, it’s a tight, aim-focused BR.

These are our editor’s practical, reproducible tips — no exploits, no external tools, just better play on a normal PC.

Zero Build & Settings

The essentials for Fortnite.

Zero Build loadout

Use the mobility items (Shockwave/GRP) and a balanced AR + shotgun. Overshields and Recon Scan from the kit give huge info value. Landing near vehicles speeds rotations.

Settings

Performance Mode for low-end PCs. Motion blur off, FOV 100–110, and "Auto Sprint" on. Use "Turbo Build" off in Zero Build; rebind pickaxe to a side mouse button.

Rotation

Fortnite’s storms move fast — grab a vehicle early, hold high ground at final circles, and pre-aim through natural cover. Box fights don’t exist in Zero Build, so positioning is everything.
