Black Myth: Wukong Mods & Customization — What’s Allowed
Why client mods aren’t supported in Black Myth: Wukong, what customization is safe, and our fair-play stance.
Last updated 2026-09-09 · evergreen reference
Black Myth: Wukong is protected by the publisher’s anti-tamper system. That means client-side mods, trainers, and "unlock" tools are blocked and can result in a permanent ban — so we don’t cover or link them.
What we do cover: every legal way to personalize and optimize the game, plus why steering clear of cheat tools keeps the community fair and your account safe.
Mod policy & anti-cheat
How Black Myth: Wukong handles modifications.
Why mods are blocked
Black Myth: Wukong uses the publisher’s anti-tamper system. Any third-party code that alters memory, files, or network traffic is detected and penalized. This protects legit players from aimbots, wallhacks, and economy ruin.
What counts as a mod
Any .dll injection, memory editor, "trainer," skin/texture swap loaded outside the official pipeline, or "unlock all" tool. Even "harmless" single-player trainers can trip the system if it scans broadly.
Safe, allowed customization
Plenty you can do without risking a ban.
In-game settings
Crosshairs, keybinds, sensitivity, colorblind modes, HUD scaling, and audio are all fair game and the biggest real performance/comfort levers.
Official cosmetics
Skins, emotes, and battle-pass items purchased or earned through the official store are fully supported and never flagged.
Controller & peripheral config
Remap on your mouse/keyboard or controller. Hardware-level macros within the device (not OS-injected) are generally tolerated, but keep them to quality-of-life, not automation.
Why we don’t link cheat tools
Our editorial line.
Fair play
We’re a player-help reference, not a cheat site. Third-party "hacks" violate the EULA, ruin matches for everyone, and erode the game we all enjoy.
Security risk
Most "free cheat" downloads are malware — keyloggers and ransomware disguised as tools. Downloading them risks your accounts and your whole PC, not just a ban.
Ban reality
Modern anti-cheat (the publisher’s anti-tamper system) is kernel-level and effective. The cost of "one try" is almost always a permanent account loss. Not worth it.
